Single roll sessions are the simplest way of us making work together.

These sessions take up to an hour and are ideally suited to young parenthood, small children and pregnancy.

The intention of these shoots is to create a small series of portraits that reflect the quiet truth of your ordinary moments.

Ahead of your session, I’ll send you a questionnaire that invites you to tell me a little about you and the details that you’d like us to focus attention on.

The session is shot on black and white film and includes 15 images.

If you’d like to add a roll of colour and an additional 15 images, you have the option to do so when booking.

Why single roll sessions?

These sessions have come from an ongoing desire to tap into the truthful moments of motherhood and family life. Now my three boys are bigger, I look back on the simplest moments; the mornings pottering about at home together, just us, or the slow and stretching pregnancy days. There was a simplicity to those mornings and moments, and to the rhythms that held us then. More so than I even realised at the time.

Can dads be involved too?

Of course.

Would this work for a maternity shoot?

Absolutely. The feeling of those waiting days would work so well for these shoots.

My kids are in school, can we do this at the weekend?

We can. If Saturday mornings are where it’s at for your family, let’s do it.

What’s included?

You’ll receive a link to your gallery of 15 high resolution images shot on black and white film via a private online gallery. All the downloads are included, so nothing extra to pay. And because I believe in making work that lives in your home, it also includes as a single 6x8 loose fine art print.

Want colour too?

You can add a roll of colour film as well as an additional 15 images for £75

Can I split payments?

You can pay upfront when booking or 1/2 & 1/2.
