How does it work?

First step… let’s chat

When you’ve booked your shoot, we’ll arrange a time to chat on the phone. This is a chance for us to get to know each other a little as well as begin to prepare for your shoot. You can tell me your about your ideas, inspirations and what you’d like to get from us working together. I’ll take you through the whole process step by step, from what to wear, to what it feels like to have me in your home shooting with you.

On the day…

There’s really nothing you need to do, other than keep an open heart and be yourself. My role is to hold space for you and family and to see you just as you are in that moment. You may have just given birth and are navigating that first latch, you may be managing some big toddler emotions, your home may be more “lived in” than you’d like. It’s ok. This is the truth of this season and I know I will see the beauty in it.

After the shoot…

I’ll send your film away to the lab to be developed and scanned as high res digital images. This usually takes around 10 days, at which point, I’ll put a preview together for you. I’ll then work on the final edit of your photos and send the rest of the gallery to you about two weeks after that. You can begin to get to know your images, choose your favourites and think about how you might like to keep your photos. The next step, and possibly the best bit, is choosing your prints. You can do this in your own time or we can go through it together. Your shoot fee includes something printed on fine art textured paper, as well as all your digital images too. I offer various carefully curated print collections if you’d like to upgrade to something extra special. This is a fun and creative process that we can walk through together. Payment plans are welcome, if you’d like to spread the cost of your prints.
